I love canyoning but don’t know enough women* who do it and I want to change that!
This trip is a beginner friendly canyoning trip to the blue mountains. It’s a long way to drive for just a weekend so I’m putting this in the calendar as a three-day trip including the Monday. It’s after the end of exam period and hopefully there’s sufficient notice for people who work full time to take leave.
We will drive to the blue mountains on Friday evening and camp at Mt Wilson, driving back to Canberra Monday evening. I will pick the canyons we do closer to the event based on weather and the experience level of those who join. The first day can be an abseil/rope skills practice day if necessary. If the weather is really bad this trip will be postponed.
I have set the number of participants at 3 but may be able to increase this slightly if we get another driver and some more experienced sign ups.
*trip is also open to all trans, non-binary, and gender diverse people who want to try canyoning!
